One of the most vivid memories I have of high school was our return from the final basketball game of 1972. I was in the band and we all crammed into the gym at midnight after we got back. What an exciting place to be. I guess it goes to show that winning or losing isn't the most important in the long run. I didn't remember that we had lost that game until I read the
website. What I did remember was the great time we all had together rooting for our team.
I also have a memory of Les Eathorne that has always stuck with me. One weekend I and a few other girls were in the cafeteria decorating for one of the dances. Mr Eathorne came in and talked with us and asked if any of us were going to the dance. None of us were going and he seemed to genuinely care and was impressed that we would put so much work into something that we were not even attending.
